My name is Isabelle Swinkels (27) and I am member of the 8th generation of Royal Swinkels Family Brewers, an independent family-owned business. While rooted in the Netherlands, my family business has expanded its presence internationally. Our variety of (non)-alcoholic beers are enjoyed in various countries around the world. I have the ambition to one day work in the family business, but first I am gaining work experience at a different family business.

Since 2013 I am living in The Hague, a vibrant city with plenty of opportunities for exploration. I am looking forward to meeting you at the FBN NxG Summit in The Hague where we will talk about why ownership matters. I believe that family ownership can influence the company’s culture and values. The familial culture often emphasizes trust, loyalty and commitment, which creates a unique and successful work environment.
